Only 1 left, due to sell out today, Hurry! This item is 2014 clearance stock.

The Providence Discovery One is perfect for slightly smaller gardens, the Providence Climbing Frame helps to maximise the amount of play features whilst minimizing on the space require to build and store the playset. Made from cedar wood, the frame is strong and sturdy construction which houses its many great features including belt swings, a trapeze bar, a straight slide, a rockwall ladder and a picnic feature. Whilst the frame might not take up as much room as some of our larger models it still reaches for the skies with an upper deck height of 1.2 metres (4ft). Please note, as these are clearance items boxes may be slightly damaged. However, all contents are secure and present.

Fort Features

The fort itself is constructed by a number of strong cedar wood panels that provides a sturdy structure for climbing and provides ample space for moving around or playing underneath. There is the potential to install a sandpit area underneath the upper deck, to do this we suggest installing a weed suppressant membrane and some bags of play sand. The upper deck is protected by a UV resistant vinyl cover which helps to offer shade in the summer months and shelter from rain or snow on cooler days.

Swing Features

Located on the swing beam the Providence climbing frame features two belt swings which are constructed from flexible plastic, which will wrap around the occupants body to provide a snug and secure fit whilst swinging. The playset also features a trapeze bar which is perfect for all young acrobats or those wanting to swing freely. All these features have a weight limit of 50kg on them.

Slide Features

The slide is accessed from the 1.2 metre (4ft) upper deck. The Providence climbing frame features a 2.2 metre straight slide, which has raised sides to ensure a safe and secure ride back down to terra firma. The slide is made from a durable, UV protected HPDE material to ensure strength and safety whilst providing a speedy and exciting descent.

Climbing Features

Located around the back of the Providence climbing frame is the Rockwall ladder which is ideal for all ages. The blue coloured rocks provides the perfect test for more advanced climbers to clamber up to the upper deck, whilst more novice climbers can still use the usual ladder steps until they feel more confident to advance to the rockwall mounts.

Play Features

The Providence climbing frame also features a picnic table located on the lower level to the left of the main fort structure, providing the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat or a refreshing drink.

Installation Footprint

The Providence climbing frame comes with all required fixings, pre drilled wood and a fully illustrated instruction manual. The total footprint for the playset measures approximately 4m wide by 3.3m (without safety area) which is surprisingly compact for so much play value. This climbing frame is designed for children aged between 3 and 10 years of age and is tested (EN-71 & ASTM) to meet requirements for private residential use – this set is not suitable for commercial use.

Straight Slide

Straight slide with an added wave gives thrilling descents from climbing frames! Our slides have extra high rails at the top of slide to help children get onto the slide and help prevent any falls. The bottom of the slide is flatter, to help children end with their feet (and not their bottoms!) on the ground. No more bumps and bruises and no more grass stains! The slides are made of durable, green plastic - a perfect colour choice during the summer as it won't attract the bugs! We have also reinforced the rear of our slides to make them extra strong, and to easily stand up to children running the wrong way up them!

Rockwall Ladder

This slatted rock wall ladder offers the best of both worlds for little climbers. For those who are feeling a little more adventurous, the moulded plastic climbing rocks are a natural choice for a daring climb. For those with a little less confidence, then the spaces between the ladder slats will provide an easier ascent to the top! The spaces between the slats are also easy to climb down - ideal if the queue for the slide is too long! Our rock wall ladders are a combination to ensure that all ages of children can enjoy them and maximise their use from the play set.

1.2m (4ft) High Deck

The 1.22m (4ft) play deck height refers to the distance from the ground to the climbing frames deck. Therefore the higher the deck height the further from the ground the deck is, the longer the rock wall  to get up, and the slide to ride down. The higher the deck means you have further to climb and slide. This obviously makes climbing up more of a challenge and sliding down generates more speed.  We have found that four foot decks are the most popular in type, according to customers it's accessible to younger children and still a challenge older kids until they are likely to be just want to go out all the time. Sorry parents climbing frames cant keep them as kids forever.

Which deck height is most suitable for my children?

We suggest that the taller or older your children are the higher your deck should be, and it is also important to remember that the higher the deck the more use your children will get out of the climbing frame as they get older.

The 4ft deck is our most popular deck height as it is a fantastic compromise between being a sensible height for smaller or younger children, and still high enough to keep older children amused.

Vinyl Roof

Climbing Frames UK range of playsets and climbing frames come with either a durable, water-resistant and UV-resistant tarp roof, or a fully wooden roof. The tarp's are usually found on smaller, cheaper playsets, and provide protection through the summer months from the sun so the kids can enjoy the warm weather without running the risk of getting burnt. The tarp is also water-resistant so the kids can take cover during scattered showers!

Café Counter

The café counter is an open serving hatch situated underneath the play deck. Why would I buy a climbing frame with a cafe counter?

The cafe counter a great way to broaden your child’s imagination. It adds a whole new element to your playset and once they are worn out swinging and sliding they may want to play shops or restaurants. Anyone with children knows that they jump from one game to another and one toy to another, so the cafe counter enables them to incorporate creative and imaginative play into their playset.

Counters are all good, you can choose between plastic and wooden seating, and some counters will have a rotating chalk wall for use inside and out.

IMAG0229__22-09-2014-11-49-57.jpg Bought this climbing frame for my son's third birthday and he loves it! Took us a while to put together as we work 6 days a week. I reckon it took us 6 hours split over three days so would have been quicker if I could have spent a day on it. The instructions are good and clear to understand, though would have preferred the measurements in mm rather than inches. The way we tackled it was I read the instructions, got the parts ready and then helped my partner put it together and then when I could leave him to it I would get the next part ready. We also probably spent an hour at the beginning putting all the parts in piles relevant to the code on them. This made it easier too. Overall I would recommend this set to anyone and I will also tell friends where I purchased it from. Communication was excellent with the delivery and the driver rang me 15 minutes before he got there so I could get home from work.
