Another new playground has opened – this makes us very happy! There is nothing more important than making sure our kids get enough exercise out of doors!
On 25th July 2012, the St. Ann’s Well Gardens’ new playground was officially opened to the public.
This lovely playground has been specially designed to blend into the existing natural landscape – boulders and imaginative planting are among the features which will encourage children to make up their own games. As well as a maze and a sand play area, the kids will have lots of new play equipment to keep them busy. The new playground features a large spinning disc swing, two climbing frames and a super long slide.
Councillor Pete West, the Chair of Environment and Sustainability at Brighton & Hove City Council said, “I am delighted that these new facilities are open in time for the school summer holidays. It is important to encourage our young people to spend time outside in the fresh air, and I am sure these imaginative improvements will provide hours of healthy and free fun.”
We hope the community in Brighton & Hove will love the new playground – it certainly sounds like an amazing new amenity!
