The exclusive Backyard Adventures' ® compression clamp is made with high quality 12-gauge powder-coated steel. Our superior clamp design has been tested by certified independent laboratories and proven for nearly 14 years in the residential playground industry. Like two bear claws, the clamp wraps around both boards and then is compressed over the joint to give superior strength.

Wooden Swing Seat

The wooden swing seat is the choice for adults. Made entirely out Californian redwood. This item is hand made on site by one of our superb trained fitters so is very safe to use. This seat is strong, pleasing to the eye, and most importantly, comfortable. Wide enough to fit most cushions. What a better place to supervise the children than actually on the system itself. It can be attached to any accessory arm, monkey bar, single beam, or redwood swing set. The chains are easily lengthened or shortened to any length you desire due to the clip that attaches to what ever support beam you have gone for. The chains used are green powder coated steel and very, very strong. The swing hangs from industrial ductile steel swing hangers.

Mr George says “I purchased a back yard adventure climbing frame for my grand children. They absolutely adore it. It’s a great durable frame and very safe. We can control the environment they play in. They often ask me to play on the structure with them but I refuse. But on my birthday they bought a most surprising gift. It was a wooden swing. Tree house Tower

The tree house tower is available for the adventure tree house and the Olympian tree house. The tower has a huge deck height of 7ft. This height uses our most challenging and adventurous accessories! It’s the ideal place to put the massive 7ft rock wall, the crazy turbo slide, the speedy 14ft rocket slide, and the huge turbo beam. Also a set of ladders may be used for access to the tower. If you have younger children but want extra deck space and looking to add more challenging aspects to the system in the future but still safe to use in the present, a cabin package is the perfect add on. Possible enclose all three walls and have an opening into the safety of the tree house deck, there is no possibilities of falling from this great height.

The tree house tower kit comes with 2 huge uprights, floor supports, a tower floor (has a slightly bigger over hang than a tree house floor for a lip for a child to help them climb up), 3 full walls, an open wall to allow an entrance and exit to and from the tower, 2 roof sections, and a sunburst with mesh. This accessory is ideal for bigger gardens and combo systems due to its shear size!

Absolutely massive deck height allowed us to get the most exciting accessories. At the moment we have a 14ft rocket slide and a huge 7ft Rockwall. Tire Swivel Swing

The tire swivel swing is designed to be attached to the underneath of the adventure, Olympian, and titan mountain fort as well as the huge adventure bridge. This is due to the fact that the tire swings in a huge circumference. If was put under the 5 x 5 deck space of the tree house range, this will make it far to dangerous. Another way of adding the tyre swivel swing is adding a 2 position single beam. The tyre can hang directly in the middle and there will be enough clearance either side for the swinging action to become safe.

The tire swing is bolted directly into the fort / bridge floor used steel t-nuts and carridge bolts. A big and bulky ball joint has the clip that the three chains from the tire. The chains are powder coated and can be adjusted in size. The tire is brand new and not recycled. Big enough to fit two children, maybe even three, this swing will make your child dizzy with delight

Mrs Beck says “this takes me back to my child hood. Hanging tyres off of trees and playing on them. Now my child can experience this in the safety of our own environment”

The Backyard Loft

The back yard loft was new to last season. The loft adds another play deck to the system with out using up any more space. So it is like the lower level conversion or the Olympian / titan play house package. The reason this takes up no space is that it fits on top of a set of monkey bars! The loft consists of a redwood sundeck floor (same dimensions as a sundeck), an apex roof, upright supports, three full walls, an open wall for an entrance, and a set of safety rails to enclose spaces big enough for a child to climb out through. The deck height is normally 8ft but can be higher or lower depending if the monkey bars have to be adjusted due to uneven ground. The opening of the loft has got to be adjacent to the sun burst of the fort roof so the apex’s of the roof run in a straight line and not at a 45 degree angle. This is because the roof at the sides over hangs and there will be no room for the child to get into the loft because of this reason. In the upcoming seasons accessories such as crawl tube tunnels and tube slides will be developed for the loft.

The backyard loft will get your child’s imagination running! It could be a fantastic look out tower or a huge sky scraper. This accessory truly makes your play system look unbelievable!

Swing Seat

The back yard belt swing is made of highly durable but pliable plastic. It comes in a choice of yellow or green. The swing chains are made out green powder coated steel. We have different length chain lengths for the belt swing so can easily fit on to all of our swing beams, monkey bars, and redwood swing sets. They are attached to the preferred swing system by ductile industrial swing hangers and a spring loaded clip for easy chain lengthening or shortening or to change the swing accessory.

The reason we use a pliable plastic is so the belt swing hugs the child tightly so there is less risk of the child sliding off. They are light weight as well so if a child would come into contact with the swing when it is motion, damage to the child will minimal. This swing is used when the child has out grown the toddler bucket. We suggest children from ages 5 plus use this swing.

Ring Climber Accessory Arm

Yet another great way to connect two beautiful wooden Backyard Adventures play sets together. The Outdoor Bridge is a beautiful wooden bridge that can be used to provide your family with tons of great play space and allows you to add even more play features for your children. The outdoor bridge is a 5ft x 5ft play deck which creates and extra 25 square footage of play space. The bridge consists of 2 redwood floor supports that connect the two forts and on top of that is where the floor rests. Depending on if you have any accessories on the bridge depends what type of walls you get. On many of the combo tree house configuration we do, mostly a Rockwall has been added to the front. The bridge sets a foot lower than the fort floor to allow the connection. So depending if you connect two 6ft Olympian Treehouses the bridge will be 5ft and connecting two titan tree houses the bridge will be 6ft. If a tree house has a cabin package and is connected to a bridge, it is the safest and ideal place to put the cabin door. Its is also a great place to put steering wheels, ships wheels, telescopes, periscopes, and binoculars!

Porch and Lemonade stand

The best way to make your child's playhouse even more fun is to add a porch! The original playhouse creates a great place for imaginative play with mesh windows and a real door. The wooden porch can be added to any of our playhouse packages to provide additional play space and some much needed shade on a hot summer day. A truly great accessory for any tree house. The porch consists of a roof, two supporting uprights, a full wall, and a very sturdy red wood floor. An addition to the porch is a lemonade stand. The lemonade consists of a wooden hand mad bar that fits onto the two upright rood supports and the full wall. This item also includes 2 wooden hand made stools that are free standing.
 

Let you children's imagination run wild as they set up shop behind the counter of their very own redwood Lemonade Stand. The counter and two stools will provide hours of fun pretend time.

Infant Swing

The Infant Bucket is a safe and fun way for the youngest of child to truly enjoy their swing set. Designed with a high back for safety and comfort and a high front as well, your child will giggle with delight as you push them in their very own swing. Supported from the front and back this is one of the safest infant swings on the residential market. The Infant Bucket is available in green or yellow and can be added to any of Backyard Adventures wooden swing sets. Made from extremely durable but soft plastic meaning your child will be comfortable and as safe as can be. The infant bucket is aimed at children from the ages of 6 months to about 2 years old but can also depend on the size of the child. After the child out grows this they can progress onto the toddler bucket. The infant bucket is a great add on to any monkey bar, swing beam, or single or double accessory arm. The infant buckets chains comes in three different lengths so can fit onto our standard, turbo, and super swing beams and monkey bars. Available for the toddler bucket are extension chains. These extension chains bring the bucket closer to the ground so if your child does fall out the fall will not be so great.

Floating Picnic Table

The Floating Picnic Table is made exclusively for our Mountain Series! This redwood table with two benches is suspended from the floor of the Mountain playground and is truly a fun place for the whole family to enjoy a picnic. Also a great place for children to do there home work or be creative.

The floating picnic table is supported by four powder coated chains and fixed directly into the floor above. Each picnic table consist off a table top and two benches that could easily fit four people around. As this picnic table is directly underneath the floor it’s a fantastic place to get out of the mid day sun and relax for an hour or so. This is also a great place for mum and dad to supervise the children from. This is a great space saving accessory. All though we do floating picnic tables for all the mountain ranges we suggest to use it for the Olympian or titan mountain due to the length of chains and leg room.

Mr Gilbert says “this has made picnic time fun. It is big enough for all four of to sit around and eat. We had to supervise the children first of all because they were a little bit over zealous with the rocking, but now they are sensible with it.”

Deluxe Wave Slide

Your children will love to slide down this thrilling wave slide. Available in both green and yellow, the Deluxe Wave Slide is designed to be used on any of our wooden forts with a 5' deck. This includes the adventure tree house and the adventure mountain. We also use this slide on our adventure play sets range which includes the odyssey, outlook ii, country cottage, and the grand sierra.

This is one of our fastest slides due to the steep angle and being extremely smooth. The waves slide has two waves allowing the child to catch some air! The wave slide is 18 inches wide and has 5 inch high walls keeping the child safe on the inside. The total length the wave slides extends from the deck is 8ft. The base of the slide is roughly 8 inches off the ground and supported by a plastic moulded slide base to give the child a safe exit point that allows the child to land on there feet.

Chain Ladder – Mountain series

The chain ladder for the mountain series is the same as the rock wall for the mountain series as the chain ladder is part of the fort angled legs. The chain ladder is integrated into the main structure. As the chain ladder is integrated it does not take up any extra space. The chains are attached the top and bottom to a powder coated steel rung that is interested the 4 x 6 Californian redwood legs. Our durable plastic coated chain ladder can be put onto the 5ft adventure mountain, the 6ft Olympian mountain, and the 7ft titan mountain. The plastic coating gives the child a lot of grip even if it has been raining or snowing and stops the metal getting to hot in summer so this accessory can be enjoyed all year round. The chain ladder will provide a fun and challenging feature for your fort while helping your children grow stronger as they climb.

Mrs Richards says “the chain ladder is a challenging but safe climbing accessory. We like the idea of the plastic coated chains and as this was built directly into the systems supports, found it very strong and have no doubts will be strong for years to come”

Turbo Slide

This strong and durable slide is available in both green and yellow and is designed to fit most 6' and 7' deck heights. The turbo slide comes in sections to limit the amount of damage it takes during shipping and delivery. The slide comes in 5 sections. One straight section, 3 curled sections, and another curled section with a base to give the child a safe exit point on there feet. The straight section is attached to a special adapter wall that is screwed directly into the fort uprights giving superb strength. The Turbo Slide comes with two steel supports and a wooden clamp that fits onto the fort upright to add even more strength. There is no weight limit on the user but we suggest mum and dad do not use this slide. This because the twist in the middle is quite severe and taller people may get stuck! The total length of this slide is just 6ft. Ideal for the smaller garden and adds an adventurous edge to the frame.

Children love the thrill of shooting down this enclosed slide and parents love the safety the slide will provide. No Backyard Adventures play set is complete without this great slide.

Tree house Sundeck

The beautiful redwood Sundeck is available in both the Tree house and the Jurassic Series and is a great way to add play space to your Backyard Adventures play set. This additional deck will allow your play set to have a whole new level to play on and is covered with its own roof section. Adding a Sundeck to your play set allows for even more space for fun and challenging accessories.

The tree house sundeck is always a foot lower than the actual tree house itself causing the child to step up onto the deck. Deck heights go like this. 5ft adventure tree house has a 4ft sundeck, 6ft Olympian tree house has 5ft sundeck, and the 7ft titan tree house has a 6ft sundeck.

The width of the sundeck is nearly a foot and a half shorter than the tree house. The total width is 3.7ft. This being the case, towards the front and back you may not use a double opener or tree house rock walls. But the length is the same as the tree house deck so these items are options to you. The accessories we suggest to use for the sundeck are ladders, gang planks, fireman’s poles, and rocket slides.

Mrs Robinson says “the sundeck was brilliant for adding more accessories to our tree house. We could not decide between a few accessories so this option was ideal to us. It also made the structure very stable."

Trapeze Bar

The Trapeze Bar is available in green or yellow and is a perfect fit with any Backyard Adventures wooden swing set. Your child will increase their strength and agility as they play with this fun trapeze bar and imagines life as an Olympic gymnast. Trapeze bar consists of a tube of powder coated steel in the middle and to plastic ring hand grips at either side. The trapeze bar comes in three different sizes so depending if it’s being fit onto standard, turbo, super swing beams or monkey bars we will be able to supply you with the correct length.

Children use this accessory on one of three ways. The first way is gripping the steel bar or plastic ring with there hands and swinging and causing momentum with there lower half of the body. The second way the child may use the trapeze is to wrap there legs around the steel bar so they are hanging upside down. Great for gaining strength and getting a sense of adventure. The upper body gets the trapeze in motion. The third way that the accessory could be used is for the child to climb up and sit on the metal bar and use it like a traditional swing. You could combine this accessory with the buoy ball to add some more variety and fun to your swing set.

Mr Brooks says “the trapeze bar was great to add onto the single arm we had fitted to our climbing frame. Our children thoroughly enjoy the item. One hangs up down and the other pushes. They make a great circus act.”

Toddler Bucket

Available in Green or Yellow

The Toddler Bucket is a safe and fun way for younger children to truly enjoy their swing set. Designed with a high back for safety and comfort and a strap in the front, your children will giggle with delight as you push them in their very own swing. The Toddler Bucket is available in green or yellow and can be added to any of Backyard Adventures wooden swing sets. Made from extremely durable but soft plastic meaning your child will be comfortable and as safe as can be. The toddler bucket is aimed at children from the ages of two to about 5 years old but can also depend on the size of the child. Any younger we suggest to use the infant bucket. The toddler bucket is great add on to any monkey bar, swing beam, or single or double accessory arm. The toddler buckets chains comes in three different lengths so can fit onto our standard, turbo, and super swing beams and monkey bars. Available for the toddler bucket are extension chains. These extension chains bring the bucket closer to the ground so if your child does fall out the fall will not be so great.

Tire Swing Seat

The tire swing will take you back to the joy of your own childhood. This great swing can be added to any of our wooden swing sets and your children will have an amazing time as they swing on this real tire! The tires we use are brand new and not recycled to be as safe for your child as possible! This accessory is attached easily to any swing beam or monkey bar combination. The swing set has four big and bulky bolt and nylon thread lock nut at each corner of the tyre and attached to four chains to spread the weight. The tyre swing hangs from ductile industrial steel swing hangers. The tyre swing is easily big enough for two children to sit on so this is the reason we do not put them and single and double accessory arms. We suggest that the tyre swing is used by older children as when the swing is in motion it becomes quite hard to stop and could knock over a smaller child.

Telescope, ships wheel, steering wheels, periscope, and binoculars

Watch your child's imagination soar as his Backyard Adventures playground becomes his very own pirate ship with this great telescope. The telescope can be either green or yellow and is easily added to any of our wooden play structures. It does not seem to bring images closer as neither of the glass ends are curved. What the telescope does add is something to inspire child’s imagination

Your child will have a true high seas adventure with our large and durable Ship's Wheel. This sturdy accessory is made to fit on any of our Backyard Adventures play sets and will allow your child's imagination to soar as he/she miraculously transforms a play set and your backyard into a pirate ship and the limitless ocean!

What a great addition to any of our Backyard Adventures play structures! Available in either green or yellow, children will have endless fun as they let their imaginations run wild with this durable plastic wheel.

The backyard periscope is very simple but will get your child thinking about how mirror and reflections work. The mirrors are angled at 45 degrees and are placed to the top and bottom inside the plastic. This simple device transforms your child’s play set into a submarine for a deep sea adventure.

The backyard binoculars are new this year. They are big, bulky and colourful. The binoculars are attached to the top of a cross brace or on top of a wall. Attached to a bracket that allows the binoculars to pivot a full 360 degrees and up and down. They do not bring images closer or into sharper focus.

Mr Burkey says “I was pleased to see how modular the back yard climbing frame was. Even down to the small accessories such as telescopes e.t.c. We could put them where ever we wanted. It was great seeing the children use there imagination with these things”

Fireman's Pole

If you have a 5ft adventure tree house or a 5ft adventure mountain fort, the fireman’s pole you need to use is a standard fireman’s pole. If you have an Olympian tree house or an Olympian mountain fort the fireman’s pole you need use is a turbo fireman’s pole. Unfortunately we do not have fireman’s poles big enough to attach to the titan tree house or Titan Mountain.

The standard fireman’s pole is fixed directly onto an open wall and come to the walls height and is attached by t-nuts and bolts. The turbo fireman’s pole is a curled at one end and comes above the wall and slots into place. Drilled through the wall and attached with an acorn nut and bolt

Made of tubular steel it is powder coated and only comes in green. This accessory is ideal for older children as the pole is quite slick and fast. Both firemen’s poles are great to use with a double opener because of its size. Its extremely skinny so doesn’t crowd the facing wall. This accessory provides a quick and fast exit from the fort deck.

Mrs Mckeevee says “my son has a real fascination about the fire service. He dresses up like a fireman, has fireman toys, and now as we added a fireman’s pole he can now act like a real fireman”

Single Beam

The Single Beam Swing is an incredibly strong wooden swing set that is available in three different lengths. No matter how small or large your garden, our redwood swing beam can be a great addition to your Backyard Adventures wooden play structure. The stout 4x6 redwood beam is reinforced with steel strips on both sides and can be added to the 5ft (standard beam), 6ft (super beam) or 7ft (turbo beam) decks.

This swing set is ideal if your yard is not perfectly level because the unique clamp design allows the height to be adjusted to meet your needs. The legs are kept together by a 4 x 4 redwood support. The end closest to the tree house has a ground beam and 2 angled 4 x 4 supports to stop the frame from rocking.

The single beam is available 2 (8.2ft), 3 (11.1ft), and 4 (14.1ft) position lengths. The swings hang from the beam by industrial ductile steel swing hangers and spring loaded clips for easy changing of swing accessories and chain lengths. The mega rider can even be attached to the single beam with a converter kit.

Single Accessory Arm

The single Position Accessory Arm is designed exclusively for use on the Adventure Tree house play set. A great space saving addition to the Adventure Tree house. The whole length of the play set with the 1 position accessory arm is 8 ft. This item will suit Treehouses in small compact gardens. The solid redwood arm is constructed of 4x6 material with green steel safety strip to prevent board failure and included additional redwood supports to ensure your redwood play set is as safe and strong as possible. Swing accessories to be use with the 1 position accessory arm include trapeze bar, buoy ball, belt swing, infant and toddler buckets. We suggest 2 person swing accessories are not used on accessory arms such as mega riders and tire swings due to increased weight and momentum. Another accessory that combines well the 1 position accessory arm is the ring climber which is available for 5ft and 6ft deck heights

Sandbox with Cover

Remember the hours of fun you had playing in the sand as a child? Pretending to be on a beach or digging for dinosaur bones? With the Backyard Adventures® Sandbox, your children can have that same fun in their own backyard! Our durable sandbox is a large 5ft x 5ft all redwood play area that can easily fit to the underneath of a tree house. Sandpits can also be attached to a tree house and sundecks to make it larger or to just the sundeck to make it smaller. The sandbox comes standard with two corner seats and is big enough to hold several children. Your family will have endless fun creating their own sandcastles or digging for treasure right in your own backyard.

Covers are available to stop unwanted critters leaving there mess in the sand. This makes playing in the sand much more hygienic so therefore safer. The cover is a plastic sheet and is tied in all four corners with bungee cords

Mr Henderson says “we live out in the country and we have a problem with wild animals leaving mess all over our garden. The sand box cover kept the sand clean and dry and was the cover simple enough for my children to take off”

Rope Ladder Accessory Arm

Our rope ladder allows your child’s imagination run wild! Whether they are scrambling up to the crows nest on a pirate ship or up to a look out tower! The accessory arm is made of 4 x 6 Californian red wood with a powder coated strip to help prevent board failure. The rope we use has a soft, silky finish which coats many strands of nylon rope. The rope we use is extremely durable and will last for years to come. Redwood steps are set at intervals to allow your child to climb. The rope is only available in yellow but gives the frame some colour and adds a lot of play value with out using hardly any space. It extends 3ft from the deck and is secured directly onto the fort uprights.

The rope ladder is available for 5ft and 6ft tree house and the 5, 6, and 7ft mountain ranges.

End Rockwall

Rocket Slide

Our rocket slides are available in yellow and green and available in three different lengths. 10ft, 12ft, and 14ft. These lengths are to fit onto our different deck heights. 10ft for a 5ft deck, 12ft for a 6ft deck, and a 14ft deck for a 7ft deck.

The unbelievably strong Backyard Adventures Rocket Slide is a thrilling ride for any child. It will actually support the weight of an adult as well! The slide in all lengths has an 18” bed deep dish scoop which keeps the child safe for there ride. Towards the top of the slide are nearly a foot high walls that give the child a safe entry point. These highly durable slides are easily cleaned off with a jet washer and if the slide starts to become slow are easy to speed up with some furniture polish! The bottom is raised about a foot off the ground so when the child will come off the slide on there feet giving a safe exit point.

The rocket slide is the highest quality residential slide on the market!!!

Overhead Climber

The Overhead Climber has a super strong 4x6 wooden top ladder and is reinforced with powder coated steel green strips that prevent board failure make it more than strong enough for any child to monkey around on.

The overhead climber comes in two (9’6” long), three (12’4” long), or four (15’3”) positions. It is secured to the frame using a cross brace and uses powder coated brackets which take the weight instead of the bolts. The climber can extend from the frame on all four sides of the tree house range and either side (not the angle legs) of the mountain range. With hand grips running along the wooden part of the monkey bar as well as the rungs running at right angles to them, your child gets a greater range of motion and exercise so works out different muscle groups. With the over head climber your child can move forwards, backwards, or even side to side. They can get access to the bars either from the ladder or from an open wall on the chosen fort. This is possible as there are no swings attached to the over head climber. Swings can be added at a later stage if needs be. Or a redwood swing set can be added to another part of the garden.

Mr Osborne says “the over head climber is tremendously strong and can take the weight of an adult. We added a separate single beam to another part of the tree house. My family and I believe that we put together a great multi purpose climbing frames”

Open Spiral Slide

The open spiral slide is a superb accessory to use for your play system if you have a smaller garden or space. The slide will extend out from the deck just 5’5”. That is almost half the length of hour smallest rocket slide!

We use the spiral slide mostly on the 5’ adventure tree house but we can extend the height by using a few more extra sections. We also use the spiral slide on our adventure play set range which includes the odyssey, outlook II, Country cottage, and the grand sierra.

The spiral slide comes in sections inside a durable cardboard box so that during shipment and delivery to limit the amount of damage that may occur. Sections are screwed together using screws and attached to the top of the deck. The spiral side is supported by a very strong tubular steel cylinder that can be buried up to 4ft into the ground for superb strength and durability. When your child grows out of this slide why not upgrade (if you have a purchased a 6ft Olympian tree house) to an enclosed turbo slide.

Playhouse Package

The playhouse packages are available for the backyard tree house range. Available for the Olympian tree house and the titan tree house due the head room clearance. If put on to an adventure tree house the 5ft deck height will not be sufficient and the child will out grow the accessory to quickly.

The playhouse package consist of a solid redwood floor, three redwood full walls with green mesh, and a wall that has a hinged door with mesh. The floor sits on four sand box boards for a flat surface. The walls sit on top of the floor and attached with 3 inch lag screws directly to the fort uprights securing the floor firmly in place. The door opening can be on any side that you desire unless there is a conflicting accessory such as ladders, sundeck, fireman’s pole, rock walls, and ring climbers. A great accessory to go with the playhouse package is the combo porch and lemonade stand.

Your child’s imagination will run wild as they spend countless hours in their own playhouse hideaway. It can become a military out post, sneaky hideout from mum and dad or can become a princess’s tower, a movie stars dressing room, or a great setting for an extravagant tea party with all dollies and teddy bears invited.

Monkey Bar

Our redwood Monkey Bar can be added to any Backyard Adventures structure. The Monkey Bar is available in two, three and four positions and has powder coated steel strips across both of the large 4x6 swing beams for added strength and safety. With this incredibly strong swing set you get both a great monkey bar for your children as well as a swing set! Supported each end with floor beams and angled supports. All monkey bars come with a set of ladders for access to the steel rungs. These are also made out of 4x6 redwood. This is a fantastic accessory for older children to build up there upper body strength. This is a huge swing structure with a true 8ft high monkey bar ladder!

All of our Backyard swing accessories are easily attached to the monkey bars with industrial ductile swing hangers and steel spring loaded clips. These clips make changing the length of the swing accessory and switch a swing accessory extremely easy.

We suggest that if the child wants to use the monkey bars that you remove the swings due to the fact they may get caught with the chains

Lower Level Conversion

With the addition of a lower level conversion to you Backyard Adventures fort, you can double the amount of play space for your children to enjoy. This great addition to your play set is available in the Tree house Series only.

The lower level conversion consists of one solid redwood tree house floor and three redwood full walls. The floor sits on sand box boards which are attached to the bottom of the tree house uprights. The walls sit on top of the floor and again attached to the uprights.

The lower level conversion is an ideal accessory if you have young and older children. The conversion adds a safe, low play surface for the youngest of children to play. It’s a great place for children to play with toys, be creative with drawings and paintings and read books e.t.c.

When a conversion is added to a system we try and put the opening in the safest place possible. Away from monkey bars, swing beams, turbo slides, and fireman’s poles.

Mrs Rivers says “makes a perfect play surface for our youngest daughter. Her older brother was flying up and down the climbing frame but she was happy and content playing with toys. A great way of getting a tree house that is useable by different age group children”

Picnic Table

The tree house picnic table is the ideal place to supervise your children while they are enjoying the chosen play system. Sturdy enough and big enough to comfortably sit four adults due to it being bade of strong Californian redwood. Each picnic table set includes one table top and two benches. Each item are supported by redwood safety rails and attached to the tree house uprights. Perfectly level table service makes it a great place to eat and have drinks so no drinks should spill and no sausages will fall off your plate! This is a space saving accessory due to the fact it does not add to the size of the play system. This also structural integrity to the frame due to extra safety rails that are attached to the tree house uprights.

The picnic table is the ideal place to get out of the mid day sun because of its position underneath the tree house floor. In the history of climbing frames uk we can safely say that this is one of our most popular accessories.

Hammock

What better way for your child to relax after a fun packed, action packed, adventurous play time than in his or hers very own hammock. The hammock is attached to the underneath of tree house by 2 green steel metal brackets.

Gang Plank

The beautiful redwood Gang Plank is available in two sizes to fit our wooden play sets at either the 5' or the 6' deck. The Gang Plank offers a fun and safe way for children to access many of the Backyard Adventures play sets and creates endless fun for your children's imagination. Whether it a plank to a pirate ship or a skaters ramp. This accessory suits younger and older children. It suits the younger child because its is a simple way of climbing due to the gradual slope. Ideal for younger adventurers. Similarly the gradual slopes allows the older child quick, fast access to the system’s deck.

Either side of the gang plank are uprights with rope attached going the whole length of the gang plank. These are used for children to help themselves up and down. They also provide a safety barrier to stop children falling off. The rope is nylon with a smooth silky finish to protect your child’s hands from rope burns and nylon splinters.

The length of the 5ft gang plank is nearly 10 ft and the length of the 6ft gang plank is nearly 12 ft. The width of both is 1 ft 7 inches. Ideal accessory for our double activity wall. Paired accessories could include rocket slide, wave slide, zoom slide ladders, turbo / standard fireman’s pole.

Crawl Tube

This is yet another exciting way to connect our redwood fort structures together! This bright and durable plastic crawl tube is a great addition to most of our play sets and allows your children to move from one fort structure to the other in the safest possible manner. Totally enclosed, there is no risk of your child falling. Constructed in the similar way as our Turbo slides, with many nuts bolts holding it together to spread the weight of the child. The crawl tube is only available in vibrant yellow. The length of the crawl tube is 5 foot 5 inches long, and the diameter of the tube is 2 foot giving a lot of space for the child to crawl through with ease. The crawl tube is connected to the fort uprights with two x red wood adaptor walls with six 3 inch lag screws. It is possible to use this accessory for the tree house, mountain, and Jurassic series.

Mr Belt says “we looked at different options to attach tree houses together. We had a look through the brochure and found the crawl tube. This was exactly what we was looking for. It was safe, colourful as we went for the yellow option, and was something different”

Chain Ladder - Tree house Series

Our durable plastic coated chain ladder can be used on many of our Backyard Adventures play sets. The chain ladder will provide a fun and challenging feature for your fort while helping your children grow stronger as they climb. The plastic coating gives good grip for hand and foot and can use all year round due to the fact the coating protects the chains from getting to cold in winter and to hot in summer. The chain ladders are available for both the 5' adventure tree house and the 6' Olympian tree house. Both sizes are supported by 4 x 4 angled redwood leg supports and two x redwood sand box boards for durability and strength. A green steel bar is attached to the top and bottom sand box boards to prevent board failure. The chain ladder is attached to the sand box boards using ten 2 ¼ inch carriage bolts (5 in top board, 5 in bottom board) and securely fastened with nylon / steel lock nut.

The chain ladder is available for the adventure mountain series as well. It is available for the 5ft adventure mountain, 6ft Olympian mountain, and the gigantic 7ft Titan mountain for a true challenging climb.

Cabin Package

Many of the Backyard Adventures wooden play sets can become a private clubhouse with the addition of a cabin package. Beautiful redwood cabin walls with breathable green mesh that lets a fair bit of light into the cabin will be a favourite of your children as they spend countless hours in their own cabin hideaway. Surprisingly spacious your child’s imagination can run wild with possibilities of this accessory. It can become a military out post, look out tower, or sneaky hideout from mum and dad or can become a princess’s tower, a movie stars dressing room, or a great setting for an extravagant tea party with all dollies and teddy bears invited. Available for both mountain range and tree house range. This is a great accessory if climbing frame is close to neighbours’ fences as the enclosed walls prevent nosey children looking into gardens. Also if younger children will be using the climbing frame, the enclosed walls are a great safety feature. If cabin has a sundeck, tower, or outdoor bridge next to it, a door can added to the cabin instead of just a plain opening. Doors can not go above climbing accessories such as rock walls, steps e.t.c. because the doors open outwards and would be far too dangerous.

Buoy Ball

A great addition to any redwood swing set, single swing beam or monkey bar swing set! Available in three colours, our buoy balls can easily be attached to a trapeze bar to create two fun swing accessories in one. Made of very dense and durable plastic, so can be climbed, kicked, punched, and pushed with the entire child’s might with no damage to buoy ball or child. Easily inflated with either a hand pump, foot pump, or electric pump. Comes with a blue screw air stopper for a good seal so can stay inflated for a good length of time. All attachments for inflation and sealing are included inside the buoy ball’s box. Children often use this swing accessory in either one of two ways. They either sit on buoy ball and swing on it and hold onto the trapeze bar, or they use the buoy ball to climb onto the trapeze bar and swing on that. Both are great fun and very different from using your standard swing seat. Excellent for your little adventurers.

What could be better than your own Backyard Adventures redwood playground? Two Backyard Adventures redwood playgrounds! With the Adventure Bridge, you can easily connect our play sets and create even more amazing space for your children to play and grow. Made entirely of durable redwood, this 8' bridge is a favourite with both children and adults. As there is quite a lot of wasted space underneath the adventure bridge we suggest to fit a tire swivel swing there. Due to its sheer size there is enough space for children swing as freely as they want without the risk of hitting any upright supports. This add on to the adventure bridge is especially useful if you have gone for the tree house range as this is the only place the tire swivel swing can go in this subcategory of climbing frame. Bridge access points should be under sunburst for safety reasons. The over hang of the roof could cause obstructions to taller children. The bridge is supported by two 2 x 6 redwood floor supports. Floors are attached to supports with six 2 ¼” deck screws per section then slatted redwood walls are attached to bridge end posts to lock into place.
