Incredible Playset

I purchased the Pathfinder Swing Set at the Climbing Frames Uk sales site in Weybridge.  The Playset came in two boxes, box 1 contained swings, slide, hardware, and brackets and box 2 contained wood pieces. The wood is  pre-drilled but not pre-marked.  Building the system took myself and a helper 9 hours to build.  All in all the Pathfinder takes some elbow grease to assemble but it is well worth it. It is incredible that a cedar climbing frame for £599 comes with a rock wall / 2 swings / glider / slide / playhouse / picnic area. I am pleased with the purchase and so are my kids.

The product reviews on the Conqueror  by Selwood Products really helped my make my selection. . The most important thing I would like to pass on in having your site/ground prepared before you assemble. We live on a very hilly site and having a level place is important.  As per the instruction manual I sealed the wood before we put it together.  I was advised to do this simply because my brother had a  Rainbow Playset and it rotted badly and the warranty expired a year before the problem was noticed.  So I put a sealer on the wood It may have been a mistake but at least I did not pay £3000 for a set that did not last 10 years.

I Purchased the Pathfinder for my grandchildren after reading the reviews. I would recomend following the assembly instructions and taking the time to label parts. I ordered on a  Wednesday morning, the product arrived on the Friday - Great Service Climbing Frames UK. After checking the parts I had 1 piece missing, I emailed the importer Selwood Products and ordered a replacement that i got within 24 hours. While it is recomended that 2 people build this it was not a problem to assemble this my self.  My Grandchildren plays on it every time he visits. Great product, good quality, good people.

My wife and I wanted to buy a Climbing Frame  for our daughter's 5th birthday. We were looking at several different sets (all quite expensive) when I received a Climbing Frames UK email featuring the Pathfinder Playset at special offer price. We were somewhat sceptical, but we bought it. It arrived quickly and in time for the birthday too. We hired a professional installer and it is completed and our daughter loves it.

No More Going to the Park

The Pathfinder Climbing Frame is an ideal size for an average sized garden like mine. I would definitely advise that you take the time to go through all of the wood pieces and pre-label . Beware that the only difference between some of the pieces is the spacing of the holes in the boards. Take time to pre drill everything like adventureplaysets the manufacturer says; it makes for a much smoother process. Just take your time and read through the instructions and you should be OK putting this together. My 3 year old is in heaven. Sure beats going to the park every day!

We purchased the Pathfinder Playset from Climbing Frames Uk for my 2 year old and have enjoyed it for a little over week now.  It took my husband  about 1 1/2 days to put together but watching my daughter's smile every time she uses it was well worth the time and the money. I also suggest you label the parts (this will facilitate the process). My Pathfinder swingset was missing one of the swings, so I called the importer Selwood Products and received the replacement within 2 days!

We bought the Selwood Trailblazer for our 3yr old son, it took my husband 8hrs to put this together by himself. He was a little aggravated that the directions were confusing in parts but great in the main. None the less, he finished the set and it is absolutely beautiful! My son loves it!!!

I bought this Trailblazer for my 5yr old son.  The Assembly instructions were good but being wood is not labeled it takes a long time finding every piece.  In total it took 6hrs to put together. Once constructed The Trailblazer swing set seems sturdy and eye catching. Good Value for  money. I am very happy with product and would spend only £389 on it again.

The Children absolutely love it!

We love this Playset and the playhouse too! We added a sandbox beneath the Playhouse and a trapeze bar. My children are 4 and 6 and they absolutely love it!! I can stand right in the middle of the conqueror playhouse and my head doesnt touch the top of the eves of the roof!.   It took us about 16 hours to build over a weekend.  We didnt label everything but we did sort all of the pieces out that was the same size and put them together in a pile, we just measured the pieces as we needed them - with hindsight this slowed us down.   My children are going to be able to enjoy this for years to come this is quality play equipment. Great sturdy piece of Garden Play Equipment for the price paid.

Great Reviews, Great Product

All these reviews on the Pathfinder are correct in what they say.  It arrives in 2 boxes.   People have written about huge boxes! I thought it was going to come with all these huge heavy boxes, but there was hardly anything at all to it. You'll need to help the delivery driver carry the boxes I guess, but it is FREE!! Also follow the recommendations of pre-drilling the pieces...this wood splits VERY easily.  I had to skip ahead and rearrange some of the steps because they made things more difficult based on the ordering of them. For the money, the Pathfinder represents value and is fantastic compared to what you would pay for other systems. It comes with ground stakes to secure it to the ground, so you won't have to cement anything. I would recommend this product, but I would implore you do what everyone else here says...pre-label ALL the lumber and expect the wood to split and splinter if you don't pre-drill it where it says to!

I must say, i was very impressed with this play set. Everything went together easily. At first, its very overwhelming with all the wood and hardware, but once you get going it really is’nt too bad. I was impressed that the hardware was all labeled. I, however, wish the company would have labeled each of the different boards, that would have saved even more time. All in all its well worth it. Your kids will Love it!!!

Our children absolutely love the playset. They are 1, 2, and 3 so it really the perfect size for them. We have neighbours children that are 8 and 10 and the conqueror playset might be a bit too small for them. The set took 12 hours to complete and the instructions were easy to follow. Our only suggestion is to inventory the box BEFORE you start. There are so many pieces and so much measuring that you must do to label all the parts that it took 2-3 hours just to do that. It is worth the money! The children want to play on it all the time.

We researched swing sets for our 2 1/2 year old son for weeks before we settled on Pathfinder.   When we saw the Adventure Playets Pathfinder reviews on this one, and readt the climbing frames uk buying guide we decided to give it a shot.

My husband put most of it together in our garage (it was a cold weekend) and then connected the swing part to the clubhouse out in the back yard. It took a total of 5.5 hours with a friends help for the clubhouse part. Definitely label the boards, and set them apart according to the building phase you will need them in. One thing to look at is the location of the pre-drilled holes compared to the pictures. Some of the boards look EXACTLY the same except the location of the holes are an inch different. This is vital, it made us have to take a couple boards off and change them out. The picnic table won't hold much more than a 120 lb adult, so you might want to reinforce it.

But finally it is up, looks like it will stand up to the wind, and our son LOVES it.

This took a very long time to put together. We did take the time to measure and label each piece of wood and we went page by page and put all the hardware necessary in bags labeled with the page and phase. This took about 4 hours total but saved us a lot of time while actually putting it together.  The product is wonderful for the price but assembly is a bit overwhelming but well worth it in the end. All the hard work has been worth it. Our 5 year old and 1 year old love it. They have played on it everyday for 2 weeks, and my 5 year old swears that she is going to camp out in the playhouse this summer. Just take your time and be sure to label everything and you will be fine.

The Pathfinder play set is great. Make sure you read directions instead of just scanning and going by pictures or you will be redoing some stuff. Instructions are great and easy to follow. I stuck sticky notes and labeled all wood pieces and it made everything a lot easier, took some time to do that, but saved a tremendous amount of time in the long run.

We have been searching for a Play System for an Easter gift for our 3 year old. We were sold on this one because of the price and what it had a great offer on it at climbing frames uk.  and I have been keeping an update on the reviews on this particular swing set... One box is all lumber and the other is all accessories with your bags of nuts,screws etc....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you take the time to go thru everything before you start and LABEL your lumber so your not scratching your head later trying to find which piece goes where. Overall for the price and what it has on it I would recommend this to other people. It does not look cheap at all and I think it will hold up very well. My son enjoys it....

We purchased this swingset late Saturday evening and it was delivered by climbing frames uk on tuesday.  My husband worked around 7 hours by himself putting it together. Our 1 and 5 year old woke up to a new Play Centre on wednesday morning and have played for hours everyday since. It is sturdier than we thought it would be and fits great in a very small garden. Definitely a great value for the money!!

I had to wait a couple of weeks for stock to get to the UK.  Glad I did!  All pieces were there and even had hardware left over.  Pathfinder has has held up to recent strong winds and quite a few kids. Took my brother and I approx. 7 hours to put together. I recommend putting accessories together first (i.e. slide, glider, ladder, rock wall). We did not label wood parts; BIG help that hardware is labeled in bags already.

This Pathfinder is a wonderful product!

The instructions were incredibly simple, and easy to follow, and all the hardware was in separate bags and labeled. I suggest labeling the boards ahead of time-it makes it a lot easier. I used a post it note and a staple gun, that way I didn't have to actually write on the boards, and the 2 tiny holes didn't really show up once the staple was removed. It was amazingly easy to assemble, and we actually had a lot of fun doing it.

We assembled the main fort on a level concrete pad and then moved it into the backyard, which was easily done by 2 women.

It is very sturdy and my son loves the slide! Overall this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone.

 We purchased the Trailblazer swing set for our 3 1/2 & 1 1/2 year old. It was time consuming to put together but easy! I found it to be perfect for our yard being that we have a smaller garden. However it wasn't to small that the kids wont get many years of use out of it. They loved it from the start. Great swingset for the price.

As mentioned by others, one of the drawbacks to this set is that the wood is not labeled. There are so many pieces of wood that it is very easy to mistake one piece for another. Labeling the wood will cut back on assembly time considerably.Another note is that the sandbox does not have a bottom. I have never purchased a wooden swing set so I had expected the sandbox to be more than an open section. 

This set must have really sold well lately because when I bought it, there weren't nearly as many reviews with some of the helpful tips. I would have saved a lot of time had I labeled the wood and had two drills handy.  Allow a lot of time for assembly and choose a patient, loyal friend to help if possible. I was able to assemble it myself except for a few steps. Another tip I'll add is to drill before screwing even if the directions don't say (in some cases). There was an instance or two when the wood began to split.  After all is said and done, this set is awesome and looks good too.

My kids love it. They could probably spend the whole day in the sandbox alone. I love being able to let them play outdoors instead of frying their brains looking at a screen indoors. Very good product and strongly recommended.

The Woodbridge - Its worth it once its built

This is a great swing set. There is one big secret in putting this thing together. Take the inventory list and take everything out of the boxes, figure out what each piece is (they have great illustrations and text to figure it out) , re-label all the wood (they all fell off in the boxes), put them in alphabetical order and group everything together (ie. M22). It is worth every second spent on it. Its makes it easy and more efficent to put it together. We labeled everything and spread it out out on the lawn. You also will know if anything is missing right away. (which nothing was, other then a few screws and the instruction, which we downloaded and printed if the web site).

Me and my husband worked together on this and it was so easy to follow the instructions when you have everything organized. It took about one week and that was working a couple hours a day on it, plus one full Sunday and Saturday. It was well thought out and very sturdy. Our daughter absolutely loves it.  The only thing I would have done differently is stain all the wood prior to putting it together. We did it after we put together..it was a little difficult.  Another recommendation, which really helped us in being efficient. Have more then one drill handy and the battery's charged daily. It's nice to have one with the Philips bit, the drill bit for making holes and socket to tighten the hex head bolts and lag screws...borrow if you have too. It is worth it!  Overall we are very pleased with it and recommend it

When we first got the box's i laughed. My husband isn't exactly the "Handy Man" type. He got off to a slow start but after i went a bought a newer more powerfull drill the play set came together in no time! I suggest to seperate the parts and keep the kids away! Over all t think it's a good deal all the kids at my baby's party were able to play on it and loved it!

I cannot believe this product comes at this price. I actually put it together with the help of my 13-yr-old son, but it was challenging and would be much easier with another adult. Be especially cautious when pre-drilling holes for top of slide attachment to fort; the floor brace is kind of in the way! Also, rails "U" and "V" should match up all the way around; the directions here are confusing. You will pay much more for this product elsewhere. My 3-yr-old LOVES it.

I'm with everyone else in saying that this swing set is well worth the investment. I put this together with my dad and it took 7-8 hours tops, and we're very "average" when it comes to assembly. Definitely label all the wood before you begin, and make sure you construct on level ground, that was our biggest challenge. We shall see how long the wood will last, but so far so good and our 2 year old loves it. Highly recommend.

We have looked for a nice but affordable swing set for my daughter for almost 6 months and ran across this one online. It took my hubby 12 hrs to put it together mostly by himself. The directions were clearer than most toy directions we have used. My only complaint is that the picnic table seat will not hold an adult. But my hubby solved that problem by adding an additional leg to the center of the seat and now we both can sit and watch the kiddies play! My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves it; it is the first thing she wants to do in the morning when she sees it in the backyard!

We purchased this set for my 7 and 2 year old. We did not want to pay the high price of many other play sets so we expected to sacrifice a little quality. I will say that I was impressed with the instructions and the way the hardware was separated and labeled. It did not take more than 45 min to label all the wood with a piece of chalk. My husband and I spent 4 afternoons assembling in small increments. There were a few warped boards that are obvious even after assembly. Some pieces were split and others split during assembly. Even though most holes were pre drilled they did not always line up well and we had to move some of them to keep the thing straight. The set looks nice once assembled.

This swingset is BEAUTIFUL an made great, my husband did most of the work on his on an used a lil help the next day he said it took about 16hrs off & on. Instructions are easy to understand. Its so cute an the wood is beautiful kids love it as well as us, its prettier then pictured. From reading the above review my husband said the door was the easiest to put up as well as the slide. By the way my husbands no carpenter, lol, but did a fabulous job.

Took well over the 12 hrs they put for assembly.   For people who are not in construction this is Not really hard, just ALOT of reading and making sure you have the correct pieces. It does walk you thru it. we've never done this before and didnt realize it was going to be "all this" but it was definetly worth it. My son LOVES his new "house"

Let's start with the pros: It's beautiful, it has lots of little things that make it neat, like the windows, chimney, mailbox, hinged door, the doorbell, etc. The swings, glider, and slide are sturdy/heavy/quality plastic. The overall design is great!  The wood is a little thinner than I would have preferred it to be. But, it was nice that it was already stained. Overall, for the price and quality, it is a great product!

We bought this set for my daughter's 4th birthday, and although she hasn't got to play on it much because of the snowy weather, the couple of days she did get to play with it, she loved it! Another great thing was i thought it was going to take days and days to put up, but it just took my husband and his friend 2-3 days to put completely together, and the quality of the wood was very satisfactory. I feel it is safe and hopefully will last for years and years.

We purchased this swing set yesterday and finally finished it today. As many of the reviews that I have read on this product it is very helpful to label every piece with masking tape or a sharpie. As well as set aside a whole day to put the product together!! The swing set is very much worth the money paid, my husband and I priced out MANY different sets from various places and this was by far the best deal. It is very helpful to have some one around to help watch the kids while putting this together as it takes every bit of your attention getting it together. All in all we are beyond happy with this wonderful new addition to our backyard!!

My husband and I just got this play set on 2-18-08 and put it together on 2-20-08. It took us 12 hours to put together which was a lot longer than the reviews I've read. We had plenty of breaks in between. I do have some hints that will help out when it's time to assemble the play set. 1) Layout all the boards and label them with masking tape and a sharpie. 2) Go step by step in the instructions and sort all hardware needed for each step and put in sandwich bags and label. 3) Assemble the slide and glider the night before. These were steps at the beginning that weren't actually needed until much later in the instructions. Easier to get them out of the way. 4) Have an extra hand for someone to watch the kids! LOL Either get hubby to enlist a friend to help, so Mum can watch the kids or get a friend to baby-sit, ect. I think having to take care of our 9mo. old and our 5 yr. old was a challenge added to the assembly. We are extremely pleased with the product and well worth the time/money spent. We look forward to the spring and summer days of fun!

I'm a mom to two kids, ages 3.5 and 1.5.  I read several reviews and researched sets for months. When I came across this set on the internet and read the reviews, I couldn't say no. We bought it on Friday, 2/28/08 and sorted all of the pieces that night (took about an hour). We marked the end of each piece of wood with the corresponding letter, using a Sharpie, and laid them out in alphabetical order. I think this was the most important thing that we did. Even though we didn't use the pieces in alphabetical order, it was nice to be able to get them quickly. It took us right at 8 hours to complete.  I would recommend that you have an electric drill on hand. There are about a bazillion deck screws and the cordless was out of juice after assembling the slide and ladder.

I do have to mention that the manufacturer deserves a round of applause from me because the 20 ish pound bag of hardware was all sorted and in individual bags labeled with the type of screw/bolt/nut/etc. and each part's size. After many years of assembling toys and games, this was the absolute best. Not trying to figure out which screws were which was a lifesaver.

My Dad and I just got done building this. It took us 10 hours (no breaks) to build this...and we work with tools everyday. I would say that one of the biggest helps would be to have 2 drills and lable all the parts ahead of time. Swapping from drill bit to screwdriver attachment killed about 30 minutes plus. It is a awsome set once put up and looks really good coming up the driveway. The wood is a little cheap but for the price of the package deal you cant beat it. I would recommend this to anyone. Just plan a day or two to install it.

Well worth the price! Took about 8hrs to put together. 1hr of this was laying out all the piece and getting everything in order first. My kids love it and it was well worth it. Definately recommend.

Great value for money.  Easy and quick to assemble. This was put together in about 9 hours, alone. I am 5'6, 125 lbs and managed to put this entire item together alone, with the exception of putting together the slide and attaching the main swing beam, for these I needed my husbands help. (To bend the slide takes 2, and I wasn't tall enough to hold up beam) Excellent value for money!! My daughter loves it! I will purchase Adventure Playsets products in future over other brands.

The playset itself is wonderful. Great price. Took an estimated 8 hours to assemble, but there were 4 of us so I definitely agree with everyone else about labeling prior to assembling. I feel the company should do the labeling. I have purchased other items that required assembly and they had the little stickers with the letters on them. This is especially good for this item since you have some pieces that have the same dimensions but are different letters. I did however appreciate that all hardware was labeled. Would love if I could buy additional matching pieces such as hard roof for top. Overall great product, Great price

We are very pleased with this product--although it doesn't appear as sturdy as some of the very expensive Backyard Adventures or Rainbow ones I have seen.  It is more than enough to withstand our six-year-old and his friends.  It took my very handy husband 8-9 hours to assemble this. Unpack and lay out all of the pieces before you start!! It will make the job that much easier. It has lots of pieces--certainly a good value for the price paid with Climbing Frames UK.

We had no idea what we got ourselves into when we opened the box. It was a never ending supply of 2"x4"s!! But let me tell you, this is the most rewarding project we ever completed. It's beautiful and the kids can't get enough. I had not expected it to come out so nice. It took my husband and I a weekend to do but that was because the first day was too cold. It is probably, if it's nice outside, a full day project.  Advice: label the pieces of wood with a pencil on the side first and mark off as you go. It made things so much easier. :)

I was kind of scared when I recieved my order and a 17' swing set was in 2 boxes. But while my husband, uncle and father were putting it together, I made some apprearances and come to find out, it is actually a really sturdy swingset and just looks great coming up the driveway! It took a total of 1 week to put together (keep in mind, they only worked on it in the evenings) and was up and running by Sunday! I woud recommend this to any one of my friends.

Once my husband FINALLY figured out how to get the set put together,(with no parts left out...thank goodness:) our son has a BLAST....Our 2yr old son loves it and he sleep GREAT cause he is worn out....From the get go we knew we had to put the swing set together, but when you have what seems like a thousand pieces(boards,nuts,washers,screws...ect)  Enjoy everyone!!!!

I rate this product by 5 star excellent!!! We purchased this as a birthday gift for our 3 year old and he loves it along with all the other children. The picnic table is an extra bonus that you don't find in other swing sets and the price in comparison to other swing sets was far better that anything else we found on-line. We are very satisfied with the quality and appearance of this swing set. We purchased the captain steering wheel "as an additional purchase" and it gives them the extra desire to climb the rock stair wall. The guys assembling the product loved the fact that the holes were pre-drilled and it was pre-treated wood. It took 3 guys about 7 hours to put it together but they said it was well worth the effort to see the end result and the smiling faces. I recommend this item being delivered straight to the home address.!  We love it!!!!

Great Swingset!! We purchased this swingset for our 3 year old daughter for her birthday. We read some of the reviews of other swingsets and took their advice of labeling all the wood pieces before we began. The hardware is labeled in individual packages and so that was really convenient. I was able to put this whole thing together over a 3 day period by myself, working a few hours each day on it. I didn't have to make any extra holes that weren't stated in the directions. The whole thing went together just like the directions stated. It is very sturdy and my daughter loves it!!! She has played on it everyday since we bought it. I really like the size of it and it fits in our backyard nicely. Anything else would have been too big.

Tons of fun! We purchased this swing set for our almost 2 year old son and for another 2 year old that I watch during the week. It did take my husband a few hours with an extra set of hands to put together. The finished product is worth it. The swingset is good looking so it doesn't take away from your backyard but adds to it. The boys love the swings and climbing up and sliding. I love the high sides on the slide and the fact that the top level has sides so they won't fall off. We did take out the picnic bench the table top was too high and we just added an extra level underneath instead!

This swingset was a good purchase overall for the money, not as sturdy as the more expensive Backyard Adventures ones but fine for the kids and their friends. The picnic bench is for kids to sit on and a great feature!. Took My Husband and his Friend 8 hours to assemble, in lots of pieces but well worth it. The kiddos love it!

I wasn't so sure when we bought this one because it was £200 cheaper than any other one like it. Who cares, it is awesome. Instructions are pretty clear and the little bags that the screws and stuff are in are labeled so you don't have to guess. The boards aren't labeled so you do need to sort them out. Be sure you are using the correct board so you don't have to take it off like I did!!! You need a set of nut drivers that attach to a drill to make it really easy. I weigh 260 lbs and climbed in it and it was fine so any kid can play in it. Took about 8 hours to build with me and my neighbour.

Great Set! The instructions were easy to follow. The bag of screws came already separated and marked which was a plus. The swing set is sturdy and our wood does not look cheap! My husband put most of set together by himself in about 6 hrs with the exception of the slide (takes two). Overall, I like the product and my kids, ages 2 and 6 love it!

Good Buy! Durable, Good Value, High Quality, Lots of fun.  We bought play set this past weekend. It took my husband and I about 10 hours (between 2 days) to put it together. Not too bad considering I'm 8 months pregnant! Some of the directions were a bit confusing at times, but we figured it all out. We've never put together a play set before, but it really wasn't too difficult. Great quality! Our 3 year old son just LOVES this set. We can't seem to keep him off of it. I would definitely recommend this play set to any and all of our family & friends

My husband had this swingset put together in four hours with help from a friend. His complaints were that he had to drill a lot of extra holes and he said the pieces of wood should have been marked a little better. Other than that it is a nice product. My 3 and 4 year old love it!

Great for the kids.  Be prepared to have one than one persons helping.My husband bought this product for our 1yr and 5 yr old sons and it took about 6 hrs trying to put it up. We had to drill a couple of extra holes cause some parts didnt go together. The kids love it.
